Meet Our Team

Since beginning to practice in the Onley, Virginia, area in 2008, Dr. Shelley’s goal has been to provide his patients with thorough and comfortable diagnosis and treatment that is tailored to what they desire. A graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry (where he was president of his class for two years), he continues his formal education semi-annually through trainings in various courses of study.In his personal time, Dr. Shelley is an active volunteer with Mission of Mercy, a dental mission where he provides oral surgery services. He and his wife, Stephanie, who is also a local dentist, have two children: Elle (age 7) and Jep (age 3).

Penny has been with the office for six years now. To her, the team at Dr. Spencer Shelley’s office is like family, and everyone works together well. Penny is proud to work for such a caring dentist in a state-of-the-art dental practice. She loves helping people and making them feel comfortable and welcomed, since she may be the first face that patients may see when they come into our office. Penny has a husband, two daughters, a son, and three granddaughters. Outside of the practice, she enjoys cooking and crafts.

We are so pleased to have had Season as a wonderful team member since we opened in 2008! She has a bachelor’s degree in business with a specialization in management, and she loves being a part of a great, friendly, and fun environment. Season has always made sure that everything in the office is running smoothly. She is happily married with three wonderful children.

Laura has been with our office for 4 years, and she is happy to be a part of a well-established, up-and-coming practice. With 20 years of experience, she is fast and efficient at doing what she does best! Laura has a wonderful husband, a son, and a granddaughter. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and traveling.

We have had Doreen as a trained dental hygienist for three wonderful years. She has thirty years of experience with specialized training in meeting the needs of infants, children, and adolescents. She especially enjoys working for a wonderful doctor and with amazing coworkers. Doreen has a husband and daughter, and she enjoys cooking.

Rhonda has been with our practice for five years as one of our talented dental hygienists. She graduated from Delaware Technical College in 1992. She feels that our practice really is the best place to work because everyone is so nice and helpful. She loves her work family! Rhonda helps make our patients comfortable and helps them have fun during their visit. She aims to teach her patients how to keep their mouths healthy, which keeps them healthy overall. Rhonda is married and has two kids who occupy the majority of her time outside of the office.
